Sadda Förening celebrated Eid al-Adha at the same time as we brought the term's cooking activity to a close. It made for a very fine day, full of gladness, of learning and of cultural exchange.
Swedish friends joined us and brought their own ideas and experience of cooking, of different flavours and of the traditions behind them. Together we made the food and the Eid sweets, in a warm and festive atmosphere.
We also sang in several languages, which gave the day a real sense of togetherness and of many cultures in one room, and brought gladness and laughter to everyone there. It made a fine close to the cooking term and a lovely memory for all who came.
Our thanks to the association's board and to every member of Sadda for their work and their commitment, and thanks to everyone who came and to our guests for making the day what it was. We look forward to more gatherings that bring us together in affection, in cooperation and in gladness.
