A warm evening where the members gathered to mark Mother's Day — with fika, gifts, singing together, and a moment for the association's older women.
As an expression of appreciation and gratitude to all mothers, Sadda Kulturförening held a Mother's Day celebration. The day is marked on 21 March, following the tradition of our home countries.
It was a warm and companionable evening where the association's members gathered to mark this meaningful day. The evening opened with a welcome speech about a mother's role in the family and in society, followed by several well-received activities.
Over fika the participants had the chance to get to know one another and talk in a friendly atmosphere. Exchanging gifts and singing together added to the evening's joy and sense of company. The association's older women were honoured as well, in respect and appreciation of what they mean and of the life they have behind them.
The celebration ended with photographs taken together, to keep the memory of this fine evening.
Sadda Kulturförening warmly thanks everyone who helped plan and carry out the celebration, and all those who took part and made these moments what they were.
