An evening with Studiefrämjandet before Ramadan, with a talk on oral health during the fast and the old Damascene tradition of Takrizet Ramadan.
Sadda arranged, together with Studiefrämjandet, a fine evening on Friday 25 February to prepare for Ramadan. The evening brought together women from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq, which made it especially rich in cultures.
Dr Heba Abd, a specialist in teeth, gums and aesthetics, gave a valuable talk on caring for teeth and mouth during the fast, along with the newer methods of keeping a good smile without surgery. Those present asked questions and shared their own experience, which made the session rich in both information and practice.
The evening closed with Takrizet Ramadan, an old tradition from Damascus where dishes are exchanged, in a warm and affectionate atmosphere — a preparation for receiving the month in good spirit and with sound habits.
