A day honouring the mothers and their part in their children's success — with a film, certificates, fika, and guest speakers from Studiefrämjandet and Rusta Jobbstjärnan.
Today Sadda Kulturförening held an event to honour the mothers, in appreciation of their efforts and their great part in their sons' and daughters' success in Sweden this year.
The programme held several parts: welcoming the guests and a word from the chair; a moving film documenting the moments of success; certificates of appreciation and small gifts; a fika and time to get to know one another; and photographs together at the end.
Among the speakers were Nivin Abou Ria, on behalf of Studiefrämjandet, who spoke of their continued support for community and educational work, and Ommiya Abou Asaad, head of Rusta Jobbstjärnan, who gave an inspiring talk on women's strength and on mothers' part in building the future.
Particular thanks to Darraji sweets for providing hospitality that gave the day its own flavour, and to Studiefrämjandet. It was a day full of warmth, joy and appreciation. Thank you to everyone who came, took part and helped make it what it was.
