Eid al-Adha and the term's last cooking session

We celebrated Eid al-Adha and closed the term's cooking activity at the same time — with Swedish friends at the stove, Eid sweets, and singing in several languages.

Sadda Förening celebrated Eid al-Adha at the same time as the term's cooking activity came to an end. Swedish friends joined us and brought their own ideas and experience of dishes, flavours and ways of cooking; together we made the food and the Eid sweets.

The day also held singing in several languages, and became a close to the cooking term rather than simply another gathering. The whole account is in the news post, and the pictures are in the gallery.

Pictures from the day

  • Everyone gathered in the kitchen around the dishes they cooked together
  • Swedish guests take a closer look at the spices the dishes are made with
  • One of the dishes of rice and chicken, set on the table
  • The laid table with dishes, salads and sides
  • The Eid sweets: kunafa, ma'amoul, biscuits and cakes shaped like sheep
  • Two of those taking part, with the tray of freshly baked kunafa
